Some materials you will need to make a diaper cake:

• Package of diapers – Depending out how many layers you want the cake to be.  Most people use size 1.
• Tape
• Ribbon – Be creative here, choose different shapes, colors, sizes for your own purpose.
• Rubber Bands – Try getting a hold of clear ones, or special colored ones to spice it up.  These are used to keep the individual diapers rolled up.
• Central Core – Of course you need something sturdy to wrap all these diapers around.  I suggest a large size baby shampoo product.
• Base - Get something that is big enough and strong enough to hold your finished product to allow you to transport it from your home to the baby shower!
• Decorations (Gifts) – You can buy some small gifts to hang on the side of your cake such as stuffed toys, bottles, bibs, hats, or whatever!  Be creative here as well!
